Like any other surgery, every patient who is about to have a hair transplant in Turkey has to prepare for it. Preparation for the FUE hair transplant involves the following:

• Abstaining from Aspirin or any blood thinner meds has to be done for at least a week before the procedure day.
• If you are on any medication, you should inform your hair transplant specialists during your first consultation.
• Patients shouldn’t smoke or drink alcohol 24 hours before and after the surgery.
• If you have a chronic disease, you should inform the hair transplant specialist.

• Medical Examination. It is an integral part of the procedure. Conducting medical examinations will help hair transplant specialists know about your health status.

• Donor Grafts Extraction. When local anesthesia kicks in, a hair transplant specialist will use a 7mm staple-like tool to extract hair grafts from the donor area. All of the harvested grafts are thoroughly cleaned and placed in plasma solution so that they survive.

Donor Area: Expect the donor area to be wholly healed three days post-surgery. But the re-growing of hair in that same area will be visible after ten days.

Recipient Area: It takes between 3 and 7 days for the recipient area to heal completely.
