About Prof. Dr. Gürhan Özcan
Prof. Dr. Gürhan Özcan is a senior plastic surgeon and academic with more than four decades of experience in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. He completed both his medical degree (1977) and his specialist training in plastic surgery (1983) at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara, and went on to build a career bridging Turkish and international plastic surgery, including a tenure at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, USA.
He served as President of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (TSPRAS) from 2008 to 2010. He currently practises at his own private practice in Nişantaşı, Şişli, Istanbul, and also performs surgical procedures at Istanbul Aesthetic Center (IAC) in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, where he is listed as a member of the resident surgical team.
His practice is built on the principle that aesthetic surgery should produce results that are natural, balanced, and harmonious with each patient’s anatomy. He has represented Turkey as a National Delegate to IPRAS, EBOPRAS and EURAPS, chaired the TSPRAS Certification and Accreditation Committee, and served on the executive of the Turkish Society of Microsurgical Reconstructive Surgery.
