Pre-Op Guides

A little preparation makes a big difference to a smooth trip and a comfortable recovery. These pre-op guides walk you through what usually happens before surgery in Istanbul, the tests you may need, the medications to pause, and what to pack, so nothing catches you by surprise.

Luna Clinic Medical Travel Services is a medical travel coordination company, not a clinic. We do not perform surgery and we do not decide what is right for you. These guides are general information only. Your own instructions always come from the independent partner surgeon who assesses you, and where their advice differs from anything here, follow the surgeon.

How to use these guides

Each guide is organised around the same simple journey: what to do before your surgery, what to expect on the day, and how to look after yourself afterwards. Read the relevant guide once you have had your consultation, so you can match the general advice to the specific plan your surgeon has given you.

Preparation typically involves a few blood tests and health checks, pausing certain medications and habits such as smoking and alcohol, and packing sensibly for a comfortable stay. The details differ by procedure, which is why we keep a separate guide for each area of treatment.
