About Op. Dr. İbrahim Karataş
Op. Dr. İbrahim Karataş is a General Surgeon with more than two and a half decades of experience and a primary clinical focus on bariatric and metabolic surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, and the surgical treatment of obesity-related metabolic disease, including type 2 diabetes.
He graduated from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 1994 and completed an international internship at the University of Düsseldorf Medical Faculty in Germany. After his General Surgery specialty training at SSK Ankara Dışkapı Teaching and Research Hospital, he developed a sub-specialty interest in advanced laparoscopy, clinical nutrition and metabolic surgery, supported by ongoing training at leading Turkish and European institutions.
Today, Op. Dr. Karataş consults at his independent practice office at Terrace Fulya Center in Şişli, Istanbul, and performs surgery at Bahçelievler Hospital, with which he has a service agreement.
